| Have your songs well rehearsed and your arrangments
worked out |
| Be sure that all the equipment you will be using
is in good working order and that you bring manuals with you |
| Ask your engineer for advice if needed. They are
experienced and there to help you |
| Relax and enjoy yourself...the results are usually
better |
| Do not set unrealistic targets for the session
e.g. |
  |
Trying to record and mix too
many songs in too little time |
| Don't forget to book your drumkit or any amplifiers
needed for the session, well in advance of the session commencing |
| Do not have people 'hanging around' the studio
if they are not part of the recording process or a member of
the band, as they may hinder your creativity and work rate |
